With the vast experience of the company in networking and the Internet Protocols (IP) it was a natural progression to carrying voice over the network, being the Internet or an internal network.

As the company is exclusively Linux and open source based, and with the emergence of asterisk n the open source scene, it was again a natural progression to SIP servers, combining years of experience in the Linux field with VOIP.

Posix Systems have been experimenting and using Asterisk for well over 3 years, and have recently started servicing customers with Asterisk systems.

Several very succesful installations have been completed internationally in such diverse locations as Tanzania and Houston, Texas. 

Several local customers have also been succesfully deployed and negotiations with a major reinsurance company completed to replace their current system. This solution will be deployed in the coming months.
